This weekend two groups of alpacas were exported from Lyme Alpacas.
The first group, 6 blue/black female huacaya, 1 blue/black huacaya stud and a lovely female solid white suri were transported to Holland.
The second group, 4 huacaya females and a male cria were taken to Northern Ireland.
Of course, prior to export all alpacas must be tested for Tb and Brucellosis, which happily were all negative. Veterinary tests were all cleared prior to transportation so we were happy that our alpacas were fit and healthy to travel.
We kept in touch with the drivers and new owners by text and email throughout the journeys and by the next day, both groups had reached their destination. I look forward to seeing photos of the alpacas in their new homes!
